Like all ‘Part P’ approved & qualified Electricians, I’m a member of what is known as a ‘Competent Person Scheme’. I carry a NAPIT ID card similar to this one when I visit my customers. I’m happy to show it (despite the photo!) and you should make a habit of only letting into your home, tradesmen who identify themselves properly (eg NICEIC or NAPIT members). Ask to see a form of photo identification and be prepared to call the number on the back of the card to check if in any doubt. It’s your guarantee they are who they say they are and that they’re qualified to be trusted to work on your home.
